This spring CAPATE invites you to discuss the topic of family vegetable growing. We invited an expert to share her experience of vegetable garden maintenance such as planting, seedlings, and lessons in the process of growing vegetables. Welcome to join our online workshop on 3/26!
CAPATE has organized multiple donations to support people in COVID-19 pandemic. Many CAPATE parents participated and generously contributed their time and money to help people in need. In Early February, we sent $3714.40 donation to effected people in Hubei, China; purchased 23 cases of USA made surgical mask for doctors in Huanggang, Hubei; and donated the remaining fund to a low income family in Wuhan. In April, when this pandemic impacted our local community and forced school closure, we raised $5625 for TE low income families. We have also worked with other Chinese American communities around Philadelphia to help our local hospitals and donated $8848.78 towards the purchase of 1214 protection gowns, 34930 masks (including N95/KN95, surgical and medical masks), 625 goggles, 5100 pairs of glove, 24 head cover, 5 pairs of food cover, and 5 face shields. .
